Forth Worth’s South Main Revival Continues with Opening of the 4 Eleven

An ownership group of Fort Worth entrepreneurs recently opened The 4 Eleven, a 1920s warehouse that has been restored to include event space and several retail shops. The 18,000-square-foot building is located at 411 South Main Street, a prime location just blocks from downtown Fort Worth and right in the middle of the city’s up-and-coming hip South Main area.

The venue’s event space includes four distinct yet flexible areas suited for everything from casual business mixers to formal corporate receptions. The main warehouse is a large instaworthy space that sports reminders of the building’s history, such as exposed ceiling beams and duct work. There is even vintage brick peeking through the white walls.

Double staircases lead to an airy mezzanine that features large windows that allow natural light to permeate the space, as well as provide views of downtown Fort Worth. The mezzanine can accommodate up to 120 guests. The Garden Patio is accessible from Main Street through a rustic sliding door and features original brick walls adorned with ivy, comfortable furniture and festive lighting draped through the trees. Finally, 4 Eleven also offers The Baker Suite, a two-room furnished space for more intimate gatherings.

The building provides 8,000 square feet of total meeting and event space, which can hold up to 420 guests for a seated event or up to 500 people reception-style. The 4 Eleven does offer a catering kitchen and boasts an on-staff event producer, Karl Marshall. Marshall formerly served as the director of special events for Dallas Market Center and brings more than 20 years of experience in the events industry to 4 Eleven.

Greenhouse 817 is a locally owned floral design studio conveniently located within the retail area of the building. A decorative accessory and furniture store, LTO, is also located in 4 Eleven. Finally, Alchemy Pops offers frozen treats made from local farm-fresh ingredients. Plans are in the works to fill an unoccupied full-service restaurant space to complete the layout of the building.

“4 Eleven has a magical push-pull between industrial-casual and upscale-trendy, and of course an all-star staff, which gives meeting planners a truly versatile space and a cure for the ordinary event,” says Jana Clark, ownership partner of 4 Eleven.
